Design and analysis of the digital transceiver chain: signal space & constellations, matched filter & ML detection, PSK/QAM/FSK modulation, pulse shaping & ISI, equalization, channel coding, OFDM, synchronization, 4G LTE & 5G NR. Weekly MATLAB labs and Monte Carlo BER simulations.

Channel physics & propagation, Shannon capacity, diversity & fading, MIMO, cellular systems, multiple access techniques, and standards through to 5G NR.

Undergraduate course covering channel coding theory, turbo codes, LDPC codes, and capacity-approaching code design.

Laboratory sessions on discrete-time systems, DFT/FFT algorithms, FIR/IIR filter design, and real-time DSP implementations.

Principal Supervisor. Machine Learning for resource management in 6G networks.

Co-supervisor. Postgraduate students in collaboration with ATHENA RC.
